Osteoporosis compliance device development
Product ideas and concepts for the osteoporosis kit were initially explored via concept sketches, looking at the component arrangement and kit construction.
The form of the compliance case was developed via foam models. These provide a quick way to visualise the form and refine it before proceeding to 3D CAD.
A simple custom form wire spring was designed to perform two mechanical functions - an eject mechanism for the drug vial and the main case sprung latch.
The product was manufactured and assembled in the Far East. Working closely with the toolmakers ensured the product was delivered on time and to budget.
