Cable lock safety product
Martindale Electric asked Gm Design Development to redesign their existing cable lock product. Although the existing product functioned reliably, it looked dated and did not reflect the Martindale Electric brand. Our design team created the design for the new CABLOK product. It followed closely, the functional geometry of the existing product, but the two main mouldings were designed in a more integrated way, to create a single form when closed.
Martindale Electric’s corporate colours were used, so it would be instantly recognised as a Martindale Electric product. The trust and reliability of MDE’s products was further reinforced as the product performed a key safety function, preventing different contractors from re-energising circuits and systems during maintenance as part of a safe isolation procedure.
